Yellow-green tubular flowers occur for most of the year on this gentle climber. It will climb trees and shrubs but isn’t detrimental to the host.
Edible uses: small fruit are ripe once they turn a deep green/black. Once ripe they drop from the vine. Sweet in taste and best eaten fresh.
Pests and Diseases: No known pets or diseases
Uses in the garden: Use as a screen on a trellis in a part shaded position.
Position: Part shade though will grow in full sun if it has enough moisture in the soil. Mulch wel to ensure the moisture is retained.
Propagation: Seed is collected in summer but takes up to 3 months to germinate. Firm tip cuttings are more successful and are usually done in late summer.
Growing Range: South-east Queensland to Tasmania, and into South Australia.
